Savoy's Challenge and stakes

I have predicted the Colts scoring 10 points against the Ravens D.

Savoy has challenged me on that and proposed a week of name changes on our respective blogs(His is Therealsavoy.blogspot.com) so mine would be the real sinn. That's a lame challenge.

I propose instead that WHEN the Colts are held to 10 points or less, Savoy will have to write a 5 paragraph essay on why Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning in every conceivable way. Including at least 5 mentions of Manning's choking. The esssay will then be published on his blog under the title "Sinn was right". I can't even imagine losing but in some alternative universe where Manning doesn't suck and they score more than 10 I will write an essay on the reverse(which still won't make it true).

Bring it on Savoy!

  1. So...I win more than 10 Colts' points regardless of how they are scored? (Not that the Colts have a high scoring D or anything..).

    You're on. And your five-paragraph essay will be entitled "Why I should never bet with Savoy" and include at least one reference to each of the following:

    * Why Peyton Manning is fine in the playoffs at least after the first couple games, and he's just playing against better teams in worse weather

    * How Peyton Manning has quarterbacked some of the most impressive displays of playoff offense ever.

    * Paper - Scissors - Rock

    I'll post this challenge on blog in a day or two...I've done like 5 posts the past few days so I'll let it sit for a day.

    Your ideas about Peyton Manning are totally fucked! I can’t sit idly and let you get away with this outrageous bullshit. There’s no doubt that Brady is a solid QB, but to imply that Peyton Manning sucks is fucking crazy.

    Do you know that he threw for 49 TD’s in ONE season! How can you call yourself a football fan and have no appreciation for 49 TD’s? You can recite all the bullshit arguments about Brady winning championships and Manning coming up chump in the playoffs. But in my opinion, those arguments say more about Tony Dungy’s loser mentality than Peyton Manning’s.

    Look at Dungy’s entire career, his time in T.B. included. He is one of those guys that always gets close to greatness, but doesn’t have the balls to sit on the throne. As long as Dungy remains the coach in Indy, Peyton will never win a Super Bowl, through no fault of his own.

    Contrast Dungy with Belichick. Belichick is a fucking robot. The only thing that he thinks about is football. Literally! I’ve read some pretty interesting things about that guy. But you don’t have to go that far. Watch him in post-game press conferences. The guy doesn’t emote…ever! He refuses to converse with opposing head coaches during pre-game warm ups. He has won 3 Super Bowl titles and has yet to crack a smile. Laser focus.

    If you want to distribute credit for the Patriots 3 titles, give 80% to Bill Belichick, 10% to Tom Brady, and 10% to everybody else. When it comes to game planning and making adjustments, he is truly a mastermind. You’re giving too much credit to Brady.

    But if you’re taking bets, I got $1000 that says the Colts will put up over 10 points against the Ravens. Cause if you’re giving, I’m definitely taking. It would be insane not to.

    And if you’re looking for a quarterback who is the real deal, take a peek at Drew Brees. The Chargers were perennial cellar dwellers before he arrived. Brees shows up and they’re taking home Division titles. The Saints were a lost franchise in complete disarray. Brees rolls into town and now they have a bye for the first week of the playoffs. Bress is the fucking lynch pin! He’s more of a playmaker than, even your boy, Tom Brady. Sorry if the truth hurts.

    You're crazy. Final score: Indy 24 and Baltimore 21.
