The As If Frame

Hey guys,

Quick post today.

I was looking through some threads on my forum ( www.Sinnsofattraction.com/forum) and I noticed a thread about a guy who was very sexually inexperienced and kept having girls tell him they thought he was a virgin....

OUCH!

So I suggested he adopt an as if frame. The as if frame is an NLP idea to help a person think beyond a perceived boundary.

Here's a definition from Mind-Lines:

As If Frame: Using a pretend or possibility frame of mind to pretend that some event is real or actually happened and to step into that frame of thinking and feeling. Thinking " as if" encourages creative problem solving by mentally going beyond aparent obstacles to desired solutions.

I told the student to write down all the ways he would act and approach women if he were already getting laid morning, noon and night.

By thinking about how you would act as if in this situation, you get a good mental picture of where you want to be and how you want to act. This will allow you to fake it until you ultimately make it.

Have a good weekend,

S

  1. Some people are against this "fake it till you make it" thing, yet I think it has been invaluable in my progress. The goal is to actually "make it", but this will get you there much faster
