Year End stuff: Resolutions, Top 10s Etc..

Happy New Year.

Now that all of that holiday crap is over, I wanted to take a few minutes to answer some comments and emails I've been getting about top 10s and resolutions. It's awesome that so many of you want to hear what I have to say about these topics, however as I'll get to in a moment, there are legitimate reasons why i didn't do these lists this year.

So on to the explanations.

1. The Top 10 PUA list. I didn't do one of these because to be completely honest, I stopped paying attention to what other people were doing, around June of last year when an AWFUL program on reading womens minds was released and people went out of their way to promote that absolute garbage. I reviewed a few products that were COMPLETE re-hashing of stuff I already taught, checked out a couple of courses that were just awful and made a personal pledge to STOP hanging out with other guys who teach Pickup. It's nothing personal, as I think some of the guys teaching are good teachers/people. It's just as I move further and further away from the community, I become happier and happier. I still like helping guys who are legitimately dedicated to getting better and willing to change their lives, but I'm done meeting PUAs, hanging out with them, and being concerned about who is "good" and who isn't and being concerned about ANYONE ELSE who works in this industry.

To be more blunt, If 99% of the guys who teach this stuff were on fire, I wouldn't piss to put them out.

In general when deciding on whether someone is worth paying to learn from you can refer to my 3 part analysis from The Game Acceleration Doctrine.

For those who never saw the GAD here they are:

1. Are they willing to demonstrate what they can do. If they're not willing to do approaches in front of you, they're not worth your money.

2. Is there a money back guarantee. Again, anyone who is not scamming you should be willing to give you your money back, if you are unsatisfied.

3. Do they have STUDENTS who are successful. The best guys I've seen with women, are often the worst teachers, so you need someone who has a history of being able to get results for people who are not himself.

Guys I would pay to learn from are: Captain Jack, Brad P, AFC Adam, Future, Rob Judge, Mark Manson.

2. The Top Charlatans. I didn't want to do this one, because again, I'm out of the loop. Plus seduction company charlatans are popping up faster than I can even slam them down with my truth hammer. Basically if anything sounds too good to be true it probably is. If you're realistic and can stop yourself from being blinded by the marketing, hype and desperation to get good at this, you SHOULD be able to figure out what works and what doesn't. If all else fails, you can always do what I did and actually TRY out stuff with real girls to see what works and doesn't for you.

Guys to avoid at all costs: Ross Jeffries, Vin Dicarlo, Thundercat, David Wygant.

3. New Year's Resolutions. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to stop putting personal stuff about my life on this blog. I struggled with this last year, as I LOVE having a creative outlet, but I don't like letting down the 3rd wall between myself and EVERYONE who reads this blog. Over the next year you're pretty much only going to
get dating articles on here as I'm moving all my personal stuff to a new blog which will never be mentioned or linked to ANYTHING involving dating, pickup or seduction.

Hope that clears everything up, sorry for the disappointment.

Actually I'm not sorry, I just don't give a fuck :)

Best

Why do u recommend Rob Judge? Isn't he a product of Real Social Dynamics? and why don't u like Vin dicarlo - he was #3 on TSB list that u were #1 on.

Insightful post btw, great ending with Eminem/2pac's attitude

  4. Hey Anonymous.

Rob combines most of what he's learned in the seduction community and weaved out what's good and what isn't.

I speak to him often and his articles and advice is solid. Apart from This blog, Sinn himself, Brad P and maybe 3 other guys out there, Rob and Zack's system really helped me piece my dating life together.

So a thank you to you Sinn and to everyone else.

But definitely check out Robs stuff on TSB and you'll see why.

Sinn, I wasn't into your stuff until this year and I've been missing out. I stumbled upon Rob Judge and I love what Zack and himself are doing. That sucks you're changing your blog but its completely understandable.

So you're not into Pandora's Box? The Chicago liar is HUGE on this shit. I haven't looked too much into it, but it seems interesting.

Dude, post when you're ever in Chicago.

I'm having a hard time seeing BradP as legit, seeing that his 'blog' is a total joke, that he comes as too arrogant and also doesn't have any footage of himself out in the field - a chief requisite of a charlatan in my view (whether someone likes or dislikes being on camera, is irrelevant. If one is charging a 4 figure sum of money teaching this stuff, people have a right to see solid proof on video. Nor does he even mention in any of his material, what a huge advantage his height plays.

    Hey Jon,

why don't you pick up one or two of your running features again, such as:
    - You might be a douchebag if...
    - common female thoughts/behaviour...
    - secrets of the naturals
    - male/female sexual power dynamic
    - great community quotes
    - FJMing stupid pua posts (might be difficult since you don't spend that much time in pua forums anymore, I suppose...)

    Happy New Year to you!

    Jon,
Good luck. I hope you'll make your personal blog relatively easy to find, as I've really enjoyed your confessional posts. Not what one expects from a big-shot alpha-male poo-ahh goo-roo, and they made the dating advice seem sincere and road-tested. The basketball posts and TV-show reviews were also a lot of fun.

I'm not real sure why people keep raving about BradP and his bootcamps. I actually attended one of his bootcamps, and was LESS than impressed. There were 2 instructors at the one I attended and 10 students. One of the instructors (Jake) got blown out more than once in front of me, and there was little to no learning. After the second day I knew I made a bad decision attending, especially when saw girls rolling their eyes when the horse girl opener was used. The more I look back on my PUA time, the more I realize that you don't need any training. Create a journal, figure out where you suck, and work your ass off to improve those areas. There is plenty of quality information out there to help you overcome specific stumbling blocks.

I just saw the vid on Sean Stephensen you talked about on your top charlatans list. He went on to say that the relationship was very traumatic on his part. I'm not here to defend him in any way and you are fully entitled to your opinion. I just want to point out that what he said of them being a couple for a while is not entirely outside of reality. Highly unlikely but not impossible. I do have some experiences in my childhood that many would immediately dismiss as untrue. They are weird experiences anyway and not the kind that I would brag about in public. I'm studying Captain Jack's material at the moment and working on my life as a whole. I'm taking it one step at a time for now and I think his path is tailored for me. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I'll study your material after I get this handled. You are the man! Happy new year. Hope you have more success and happiness this year than the last.
