ReplyDeleteyou seriously are leading more and more into the path of a sociopath jon. look up the definition in the dsm-IV. talk with someone over your issues since it seems like you are getting worse.
ReplyDeletejesus christ... don't look anything up in the dsm-IV it's a big fat lie so psychiatrists can trap people with fucked up brain drugs
DeleteThis is really kind of an indirect reworking of "The Art of War". Very similar premises. A little up there in the air a bit "dreamy" and "new agey" but all pretty much common sense.
ReplyDeleteNarcissists Handbook?
ReplyDeleteThis is great advice for a perennial 'nice guy', but give this to the socially awkward spongs that make up a large percentage of the community, and they will be truly lost.
Unnecessary, and liable to cause serious isolation in life.
power and empathy can be on opposite ends of a continuum. Some of the tecnhiques for gaining power are machivellian and unempathetic / sociopathic. But both drives are present in people even if they are in conflict with each other. How many drives do you have that are in complete opposition to each other? I believe the key is to build up power in a way that doesnt manipulate people.
ReplyDeleteOnce you have power then it is a matter of understanding human nature and how others can be sociopathic or machivellian in their dealings with you. Not knowing the laws of power in that situation is pure naivete.
Sounds Machiavellian. This is evil if over done. Useful in measured doses.
